Please remove sczizzo/* #150

Description

In the spirit of issues #145, #111, #127, #146, #149 and probably others, I'd like my repos removed from this site. I'm not interested in a discussion around this; see the other tickets for the myriad reasons why.

    At the very least, notify users that tip4commit is in no way endorsed or authorized by me, a la https://tip4commit.com/github/django/django.

    @sczizzo to your point, it's probably a solid feature request to allow a project maintainer to add the same language as django/django has. That way it's made very clear to users that the maintainer is not a fan of the service, but if a sub-section of contributors and project backers still want to use tip4commit they can.

    @arsenische, @AlexandrZ and @bill-auger any thoughts?

    Keep in mind that in many cases the "project" is a single individual. I have some projects for which I am the only committer; I don't want them listed, and I also as an individual never want to receive a tip from tip4commit for a commit I made to a multi-committer project. So no matter what you do for projects, individuals should still at the very least have the ability to opt out.

    Better by far, of course, would be what everyone is actually agitating for, which is never to sign up a project or individual unless that project or individual has explicitly and clearly opted into tip4commit.

    there has been much discussion lately regarding the site poilicies and a draft of a "how it works" page is being created now https://github.com/tip4commit/tip4commit/wiki/about-page-draft

    the important thing to note though is that tip4commit is itself an open source project which anyone can setup their own clone and so any such statement only applies to one particular instance of tip4commit - i have some thoughts on te matter but as i do not operate this or any particular instance of tip4commit my oppinion on this topic is not relevant - all i can say with cetainty is that if a feature is desired then i (like anyone else in the world) may or may not contribute toward implementing it

    this issue board is for the software itself and not for any particular instance so imho discussions of this sort should not be polluting this tracker - more than anything i would see this flurry of activity in the past two hours to suggest that the particular instance of tip4commit.com establishes a forum separate from this one for users-centric concerns

    Forks of tip4commit are already implementing the opt-out @arsenische and @BLKSwan have been arguing against. How much community pressure must be brought to bear before the original tip4commit changes its behavior? Explicit opt-in is ultimately the only acceptable model for this service.

    again my main point is that this is a software issue tracker and not a discussion forum - it is just unfortunate that the tip4commit website does not have a dedicated discussion forum - it seems to me your primary concern is a philisophical one and not a technical one which i why i suggested a separate forum for site specific user/admin interactions

    if you would like to see such a feature added than the proper thing to do would be to pose your issue explicitly as a feature request (or implement it yourself) - i am quite sure the feature would be accepted if/when implemented - i dont think the site admins are particularly against the idea but until a few days ago it has not been a big issue

    Well said @bill-auger

    I don't see any way to leave feedback on the tip4commit site itself, so I filed a ticket here. If there's somewhere better I can make this request, please point me that direction.
