Define the technical plan for the Vitest v5 upgrade in rfcs/vitest-v5-upgrade.md.
The RFC covers the bundled package graph, vite-plus/test* compatibility, Node.js requirements, project configuration changes, and migration behavior. It records each breaking change through v5.0.0-rc.2.
The proposal also defines rollout gates for browser providers, coverage, reports, and vendored workspaces.
This work supports #2405.
