Report abuseI build desktop applications for Linux and Windows — video converters, media downloaders, wallpaper managers and productivity tools — published on Flathub, the Snap Store, the Microsoft Store and WinGet. Python, PyQt5 and FFmpeg, with a Django web platform behind them.
790,000+ installs on Flathub alone, across six apps — plus the Snap Store, the Microsoft Store, WinGet and direct downloads.

Reusable pieces I maintain for shipping PyQt5 apps as Snaps — useful if you package Linux desktop apps yourself:
| Repo | What it is |
|---|---|
| pyqt5-runtime-core22 | PyQt5 runtime content snap for core22 |
| pyqt5-runtime-core22-lite | Same, without mpv and FFmpeg |
| content-snap-core22 | Shared library content snap — FFmpeg, mpv and friends |
| content-snap-core22-lite | Slimmer variant, excludes mpv and FFmpeg |
| Qt Linguist with Google Translate | Machine-translate Qt .ts files to bootstrap localisation |
Desktop: Python · PyQt5 · FFmpeg · yt-dlp · PyInstaller Packaging: Snapcraft · Flatpak · AppImage · MSIX · WinGet Web: Django · MySQL · Docker
- Making the Linux desktop apps faster and easier to use
- Better packaging across Flatpak, Snap, AppImage, WinGet and the Microsoft Store
- Localisation — several apps ship in 35+ languages
- Django-powered licensing and update infrastructure behind the apps
A note on licensing: most of the applications are proprietary but free to download and use, with an optional one-time Pro upgrade and no subscription — their GitHub repos host releases, packaging metadata, documentation and issue tracking. JPEG2PDF and PDF2OCR are MIT licensed with full source, as are the packaging and runtime repos above.
