[]Install apps with Apple Configurator
Apple Configurator for Mac simplifies basic setup and configuration tasks, but it can also be used to install apps, configuration profiles and documents on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV (Wi-Fi + Ethernet only). Apple Configurator is most helpful when its used to supervise devices that wont be personalised by the user, such as Shared iPad devices in a classroom.
In addition to using Apple Configurator with apps, you can use it to install documents so theyre available when your users start using the devices. Documents are available for apps that support file sharing. You can also review or retrieve documents from devices by connecting them to a Mac using Apple Configurator.
Proprietary in-house apps can be installed by Apple Configurator without an internet connection. However, for the app to launch and be functional for the user, an internet connection is required. Custom Apps arent supported in Apple Configurator.
