Set up Handwashing on AppleWatch
Your AppleWatch can detect when you start washing and encourage you to keep going for 20 seconds, the time recommended by global health organizations.
Turn on Handwashing
Go to the Settings app
[] on your AppleWatch.Tap Handwashing, then turn on Handwashing Timer.
When AppleWatch detects that youve started washing your hands, it starts a 20-second timer. If you stop washing in less than 20 seconds, youre encouraged to finish the job.
Note: On an AppleWatch set up for a family member, you can also turn on handwashing reminders. Go to the Settings app
[] on the managed AppleWatch, tap Handwashing, turn on Handwashing Timer, then turn on Handwashing Reminders.
To see a report of your average handwashing times, go to the Health app on your iPhone, tap
[the Search button], tap Other Data, then tap Handwashing.
