Information

Venmo is available for Flow. Flow enables you to accept payments on your website using Checkout.com's global network of payment methods with a single integration.

Venmo is a social payment service that enables people to make and share payments with friends, family, and businesses in the United States (US).

To process payments using Venmo:

  • Your customer must have the Venmo app installed.
  • You and your customer must be based in the US.
  • The currency must be in USD.

Checkout.com supports Venmo through PayPal.

Venmo supports the following checkout experiences:

  • Pay Now Final payment page experience.
    Customers complete the payment on the PayPal pop-up.
  • Continue Item and basket page experience.
    Customers complete the payment on the merchant's order review page

Additionally, Venmo supports both auto capture and manual capture of the payment:

  • Use auto capture if your goods or services are available immediately after purchase for example, digital goods or tickets.
  • Use manual capture if your goods or services are not available immediately after purchase for example, shipped goods.

payment_capture_declined

Occurs when the payment request is rejected.

Occurs when the payment request is rejected.

payment_expired

Occurs when a payment reached its expiry date without being captured

payment_voided

Occurs when:

  • The payment is voided after authorization
  • The payment is voided after partial capture, releasing the remaining amount
  • The payment expires

payment_void_declined

Occurs when the void request is declined.

payment_refunded

Occurs when the payment is fully or partially refunded.

payment_refund_declined

Occurs when the refund is declined.
