My guy has fallen in love with his AI sex doll.
Cindy is all he ever talks about. He marvels about how realistic, flexible and accommodating she is.
He frequently takes himself off into the spare room for some quiet/quality time with her. I feel ready to blow my top.
I was thrilled when his boss awarded him a generous bonus for excellent work in January. I suggested getting the house redecorated or booking a holiday.
I didnt know why he kept ignoring me. In the end, everything became clear. A massive box arrived, and my guy finally confessed that hed made an executive decision regarding HIS money.
Hed invested in a sex robot. In the box was Cindy, the AI sex toy hed ordered from a specialist manufacturer. He was so excited.
Shes got long hair, blue eyes and red nails. He handpicked her features himself and she looks nothing like me Ive discovered that his freak can talk her mouth moves and is learning more words by the minute.
He boasts that shes programmed to chat about all sort of interesting things, and she amuses him with jokes and stories. She can be posed into all sorts of positions and is warm to the touch. More than once, hes huffed that shes a darn sight nicer to cuddle than frigid old me.
Charming. But, of course, the main reason for having this doll is for the sex. With Cindy he can have any kind of kinky sex, in any position that he fancies.
When I call him out on this, he storms that shes no threat because shes not real. Apparently, I need to grow up and get over myself because this is a new era of AI advancement. Is that right?
JANE SAYS: Im sure your fella is thrilled with Cindy but what about your feelings and relationship as a whole? Doesnt he realise that he hurts and insults you every time he takes himself off to hear one of Cindys hilarious jokes and more
She might be made of a realistic material and be more educated/programmed than the average Joe, but hes still emotionally and sexually invested in the toy.
He knows that you dont like him indulging himself, but he continues to do it. What does that say about his attitude towards you as a loving, breathing human being?
Does he see Cindy as a long term lifetime commitment? Will she be followed by a Shirley, Candy or Dolly for the rest of his life?
Ive looked up the kinds of dolls you describe, and they cost thousands. Does he really think its fair that hes got his own thing going on?
Only you can decide if his is a relationship breaker. Lots of couples enjoy adult accessories and make their own rules regarding sexual boundaries, but you know what is acceptable to you.
Never forget that you are a beautiful, valid and real person.
My mum quizzes me on my sex life.
Any time I sleep over with my boyfriend she insists on all the details no matter how intimate. I love her but dont like this interrogation.
She considers herself my best friend. She knows how much I earn and thinks nothing of grabbing my phone and scrolling through my messages.
When I ask her not to snoop around my room she sulks.
Im sick of tiptoeing around her. Im serious about my guy but she wants to come out on dates with us. Ill always been grateful for everything shes done for me but wish shed give me respect and space. Im 25.
JANE SAYS: You respect your mum, but youre allowed to grow up.
It sounds like shes inclined to be manipulative, childish and unreasonable. Pick your moment and explain that you love her to bits but you need to breathe.
Suggest proper boundaries regarding your phone and bedroom. I get the impression she could do with spreading her wings and claiming back her own life.
Is she depressed or lonely? Do you think she perhaps needs to change her life?
