England cant always get what they want at World Cups, but Mick Jagger hopes they get what they need tomorrow night.
The Rolling Stones legend has flown out to Miami to cheer on the Three Lions in person and admits hes a big fan of the team, but not getting ahead of himself.
Speaking to the Daily Stars James Cabooter at the launch of the new Stones album, Foreign Tongues in London the night before Mick said: "Theyve got a good chance but I'll never say we're going all the way!"
England face their own Beast Of Burden in the form of top striker Erling Haaland when they play Norway in the quarter finals tonight.
However, Mick is confident Harry Kane and the lads have the experience to deal with his huge presence: I think we've got players who know what he's about.
Mick is praying hes not a bad luck charm though having previously witnessed the Three Lions lose 2-1 to Croatia at 2018 World Cup semi-final in Moscow.
He was also on hand to witness his beloved Arsenal unfortunately lose the Champions League final to PSG in Hungary a few weeks ago. "You cant blame me for Arsenal missing two penalties, he laughed.
Mick has become close to a number of England stars over the years including David Beckham who invited him to watch the Champions League final in his box. But the rocker had no idea it was being documented for a show called Beckham & Friends Live.
So theyre filming while the match is on, and asking me questions while Arsenal go on and score. So I felt obliged to cheer, thats probably the most lad-ish Ive ever got at a match.
Football has become something Mick enjoys sharing with his entire family, including sons James, 40, and most recent addition Deveraux, 9.
Referring to the recent Champions League match he recalled: "I stood up and cheered and just off camera I could see was my eldest son holding up my youngest son! Lets hope England bring Satisfaction to Mick and fans.
Meanwhile The Rolling Stones put on a spectacular light show for the whole of London to celebrate their new album, Foreign Tongues.
Drones flew over the River Thames on Wednesday night to recreate the band's iconic lips and tongue logo as Mick Jagger and Ronnie Wood threw an intimate party at new luxury hotel, St Clement.
Family like Georgia May Jagger and famous friends including Daniel Craig, Sacha Baron Cohen and Vernon Kaye enjoyed Smash burgers and negroni cocktails with 'Stones shaped ice cubes.
Mick and Ronnie played a few acoustic tunes including new song Ringing Hollow plus classics, Dead Flowers and You Cant Always Get What You Want.
Mick explained the absence of Keith Richards who was over in the States: I spoke to Keith on the phone earlier and he sends his best and sad he cant be here tonight, but he makes himself very loud and clear on the new album. Foreign Tongues is out now.
