A 22-year-old model who vanished over a decade ago was pitched to late paedophile financier Jeffrey Epstein by a "creepy" talent scout shortly before she disappeared. German model Michele packed her bags and walked out of her mother's home in September 2015, with her family assuming she was embarking on another routine overseas trip.
But after weeks without a single call, message or digital footprint, her family reported her missing, sparking an 11-year nightmare that remains unsolved. Files linked to Epstein have revealed a concerning twist in her final weeks.
Model scout Daniel Siad, who remained in Michele's orbit after meeting her in Dubai in 2012, was heavily linked to Epstein's trafficking ring.
Unsealed US Justice Department records uncovered a staggering 1,840 references to Siad, including messages where the scout likened himself to a "fisherman" making a good "catch."
In 2014, Siad sent photos of a 21-year-old Michele directly to Epstein, asking if the disgraced financier wanted to send a plane ticket for her. Pitching the young beauty, Siad made a promise to Epstein: "You will love her."
While there is no evidence Michele ever met Epstein, or that Siad was involved in her disappearance, her panicked final days before disappearing paint a troubling picture.
Shortly before she vanished, Michele's father Vlado recalled overhearing Siad giving his daughter a harsh scolding on the phone, leaving her visibly upset.
Despite the link, German police refused to launch an active abduction investigation, claiming there were no concrete indications of a crime because Michele had left home voluntarily.
In July 2026, prosecutors again declined to open a formal probe, ruling "the mere possibility of a crime" was not enough.
Devastated by the decision, her mother Annett said: "I think she is no longer alive. That something was done to her. I am very disappointed that the authorities are not responding.
"After all, we have been living with worry and uncertainty for eleven years. Michele was a family person. She would always come back. She loved us."
Any hope of getting direct answers from Siad evaporated on July 20, 2026, when the 69-year-old was found dead at his home in Colombes, near Paris, while under investigation for rape and human trafficking.
Though an initial autopsy showed no signs of physical violence, authorities ordered toxicological tests over suspicions he may have been poisoned.
Learning of the scout's death, Michele's grieving dad Vlado said: "A piece of hope has been taken away again."
Michele remains officially listed as a missing person as her family continues to search for answers.
