An aviation expert and engineer has revealed precisely why they believe the missing MH370 aircraft, which vanished without trace on March 8, 2014, will never be located.
All 227 passengers and 12 crew members disappeared alongside the Boeing 777 following its departure from Kuala Lumpur bound for Beijing. The final contact between the crew and air traffic control occurred just 38 minutes after takeoff.
Military radar continued tracking the aircraft for an additional hour beyond its last communication, during which it had strayed from its intended route.
After disappearing from radar coverage 230 miles from Penang Island in Malaysia, MH370 was never detected again.
Ismail Hammad, chief engineer at Egypt Air, shared his theory with the Mirror, saying it "is not a guesswork but it is an engineering inevitability if we follow the aviation fundamentals.", reports the Mirror.
Hammad maintains the search operation's fundamental flaw lies in depending on incorrect data.
He explained: "The good technical condition of the aircraft wreckage which might result from a ditching on relatively calm water, along with the ocean currents in the Indian Ocean basin off the west coast of Australia, and the deviation value of the aircraft's magnetic compass.
"All of that make the presence of the aircraft around these corridors and water strips highly probable.
"And that is not a guesswork, but it is an engineering inevitability if we follow the aviation fundamentals. Relying solely on the signals of the Inmarsat satellite has left the investigators confused for a decade."
Ocean Infinity, the marine robotics company, resumed their latest search efforts in December following a pause caused by seasonal weather conditions the previous spring.
The notorious Malaysia Airlines Boeing 777, which vanished on March 8, 2014, during its journey from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing with 227 passengers and 12 crew members aboard, continues to be aviation's most baffling enigma and stands as the most catastrophic incident involving a missing aircraft.
Previous searches have recovered fragments along Africa's eastern coastline. Hammad noted these components "have no signs of damage which indicate the crashing of the fuselage with the turbulent surface of the ocean water and the subsequent explosion of the aircraft due to saturating its tanks with fuel vapor."
He added: "We cannot find on these pieces the damages of dents, sooty appearance or dark discoloration due to the explosion of the tanks. that suggested a smooth ditching in a relatively shallow and calm water surface."
Hammad disputes the decision to resume searching near Perth's coastline. He argues this approach overlooks the discrepancy between the aircraft's magnetic compass reading and Earth's true north.
Hammad is convinced he holds the key to saving everyone "money and time" whilst finally locating the aircraft that has brought enormous anguish to officials and grieving relatives. He also suggests examining the "maze of the Philippine archipelago, which consists of 7,641 islands."
He outlined how the autopilot system becomes difficult to configure using spatial coordinates alone.
He said: "Likewise, a pilot alone would not be able to continue flying a big aircraft like B777-200 for 9 hours since take off till vanishing, including the 3 hours on average it takes to check the condition of the aircraft and its documentations before the taking off according to the aviation regulations."
Hammad said without autopilot mechanisms or navigation tools, depending entirely on the plane's magnetic compass would require concentrating the search area between the Malacca Strait and Perth coastline considering "all those stresses".
