Metal detecting enthusiasts know the thrill of uncovering some potentially valuable buried treasure.

The beep of the detector could lead to finding an old metallic trinket. And if luck is truly on your side, you could discover a handful of rare coins worth a small fortune.

A TikTok user by the handle @CoinCollectingWizard recently showed his fantastic find. The exact location remains undisclosed, but revealed the precious contents to his 167,700 fans.

He went on: "You can easily grab between 450 and 10,000 depending on the condition." His next showpiece was the 1853 4p Grout, boasting a humble mintage of just 11,080.

The user revealed: "The poorest condition can fetch 230 but can go up to 2,000. We also have the 1869 1p and we are not sure how many were made. Imagine finding this in great condition and bagging yourself 5,000. Unbelievable."

Finally, the 1851 One Shilling was also discovered in the pouch. With a mintage of only 470,071, collectors would pay anywhere between 100-2,000 for one.

The video quickly scooped 300 likes and dozens of comments since it was posted earlier this week. One fellow enthusiast remarked: "I've got so many coins from metal detecting, I really need to go through them mate. How are you finding the metal detecting? Great hobby mate."
