A dad revealed what he looked like before spending 264,000 on tattoos and embarking on a journey as the "world's most inked man". Remy Schofield is far from over in fact, there's only one moment he'll stop inkings and it's when he finds it boring.
Until then, he will continue to spend more money and hours on colouring nearly ever inch of his body with art work. The former chef first began his tattoos in the early 2000s and hasn't shown any signs of slowing down. In fact, the Canadian reckons he still has a lot of steam left when it comes to inkings and body art.
Now while he's no stranger to showing fans what he would look like without all his tats his latest post is a serious throwback.
And when we say he's taking it back a few years, we mean from childhood. Sharing the post with his 189,000 followers on Instagram, Remy joked: "For those asking what I looked like tattoos and piercings, here you go!
"This is my best effort. It's safe to say the boy on the left had no idea what he was in for." The photo shows Remy around a year old versus what he looks like now.
Of course we think the dad has totally transformed since then, as did many of his followers who were gushing at the post.
One said: "Omg such a sweet smile then and now!" Another gushed: "What an amazing evolution." While a third chimed in: "Oh for goodness sakes, too much cuteness all around."
Someone else commented: "Well what a darling little boy!" And others simply couldn't get over how far he's come with his tattoo journey.
Remy fell in love with tattoos from around 2009 where he inked his son's name in custom script. Around eight years before, Remy where he got his first facial piercing and now the rest is history.
While he's since had his body reworked dozens of times, the dad believes his pain threshold hasn't changed much since certain areas remain quite painful to ink.
He previously told Daily Star in an interview: "My body percentage has been roughly the same for 15 years. What's changed is the layers with some parts of me being over 100 layers currently, most of me is between 10-40+ layers."
Remy thinks he has spent around 264,000 ($500,000 Canadian dollars) on his tattoos, although this figure changes day-by-day.
Speaking about when he'll turn his back on this love, he added: "I've always said I would stop when I'm no longer having fun with it."
The body art fan, who spent over 4,500+ hours getting inked, calls himself "the real world's most tattooed man".
