The Beckhams put on a united front to support their youngest son Cruz Beckham as he performed a breakthrough concert in London on Tuesday night.
David and Victoria were accompanied by middle son Romeo as they turned up to intimate venue The Courtyard theatre to check out Cruz play an hour long set with his band. Proud mum and dad slipped into the 150 capacity space in Old Street five minutes before the show started and mingled with excited friends and fans in a reserved area towards the back, smiling and cheering their lad on throughout his performance.
Model brother Romeo also looked on proudly as his brother and band impressed an hour long gig that had fans and even more cynical media bods in raptures.
It was one of the first times the Beckham family had been seen out in public since the high profile fall out with eldest son Brooklyn who posted a bombshell Instagram statement on social media accusing his parents, David and Victoria, of being controlling, planting negative stories, and ruining his, and wife Nicola Peltz's, marriage.
There was a celebratory feel as the gig was the culmination of a successful three week UK tour and proved guitar-toting Cruz has the chops and credentials to make it in the music biz.
Rocking a blousy white shirt and tie Cruz played the archetypal frontman role to a tee, while also handling all the stately guitar solos by himself during an energetic set.
His band The Breakers came on like Kula Shaker juniors, four lads so infused with authentic psychedelic 60s rock riffs with haircuts and even cravats to match.
Exuding an easy going charm Cruz encouraged the audience to join in with the nah nah nahs during bass heavy highlight Optics, and wore his influences on his sleeve by christening one new song, John Lennon.
There were no Spice Girls tributes but The Beatles influence could be felt throughout the set with covers of Fab Four classics Revolution and All You Need Is Love, while current single For Your Love clearly doffs its cap to Oasis as well. There was also a rendition of Bruce Springsteen's In The Fire.
Along the way he dedicated the anthem Jackie to "my girl out there in the crowd somewhere" and current squeeze Jackie Apostel which resembled something off the White Album, while the track On And On was played in honour of his friend "Caroline" accompanied by a big Noel Gallagher style guitar solo.
"Lets go f****** mad," he hollered before punk rocker Dumb Down and later got seriously emotional during the ballad The Loneliest Boy, which is rumoured to be about his brother Brooklyn.
The track not only featured arguably his best guitar work, it included the memorable line, "dont crush all your friends." Cruz's bassist put his own around Cruz to support him after singing the track.
The band were tight and the beaming Beckham family plus assembled friends loved every minute of it, making their way backstage straight afterwards to celebrate with Cruz.
The 21 year-old has a busy few months ahead him with US summer tour dates just announced. In fact he could yet enjoy a reunion with his brother Brooklyn during August when he and the band play a gig in Los Angeles where his older sibling lives with actress wife Nicola Peltz.
If theyve got a spare triangle or tambourine maybe the couple can join him in stage. Just so long as wannabe chef Brooklyn doesnt handle the tour the catering!
Cruz's song For Your Love is out now.
