Coleen Rooney is ensuring her 40th birthday becomes truly unforgettable. The spouse of ex-footballer Wayne Rooney is marking the milestone this Easter weekend at her 20 million Cheshire mansion, which was crammed with visitors on Friday who partied with the Scouser in spectacular fashion.

A whole array of WAGs made the guest list, enjoying everything the Rooneys had to offer as an enormous marquee and golden '40' display were spotted being installed on the luxurious grounds of Coleen's grand home.

Chatting to The Mirror ahead of the Good Friday bash, which welcomed 50 of Coleen's dearest friends, a pal of the mother-of-four revealed she adores partying and will be found dancing throughout the festivities. "Coleen parties like a good northern lass," they revealed. 'She's a very normal girl at the end of the day - she just likes a good time and having fun. It will be epic."

Meanwhile, Coleen revealed: "I'm looking forward to it, I love a birthday and a celebration. I have decided to enjoy a couple of different celebrations with family and friends over the year, and with my birthday falling over Easter weekend, some friends are away - so any opportunity to extend the celebrations..."

WAG guests

Wayne's football mates, including Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Darren Fletcher, were all included on the guest list for the lavish celebration, alongside Coleen's WAG friends including Annie Kilner and Abbey Clancy. Amongst the celebrities who also turned up at the mansion for Friday's party were English former footballer Phil Jones and his wife Kaya Hall.

Meanwhile, fellow WAG and mate Tanya Bardsley, 44, flaunted her fresh hair extensions on her Instagram Stories before the posh do. She also shared a tribute to Coleen, which read: "Happy birthday to this gorgeous icon, can't wait to celebrate with you later."

Helicopter arrival

Coleen's husband, Wayne, went above and beyond for his childhood sweetheart on her big day, including, reportedly, securing a huge star to perform.

While it's unclear who would be performing, it had been suggested 'no expense has been spared' on the 'Mariah Carey level singer' and rumours were swirling that Westlife had been booked to perform.

Wayne on the mic

In addition to arranging a surprise performance from a mega star, Wayne was also reportedly eager to entertain guests with a couple of songs.

Speaking to The Sun ahead of the celebration, a source revealed: "Coleen loves a good knees-up. She can afford a lovely lifestyle and everything at the party will be classy and beautifully done. But for her, plenty of booze, good music and her family is all she will want."

"There's going to be live music and you can guarantee Wayne will be getting up on the microphone. He loves to sing and will be keen to give everyone a tune or two."

Phone ban

Security won't just be watertight - attendees have also been slapped with a strict mobile phone prohibition. "She wants to have a good time without anyone filming anything like Wayne falling on the dance floor or being drunk," a source told the Mirror.

"It's going be very high protection when it comes to this. It's a private party. There's no one that can party like Coleen."

Banned from the bash!

Naturally, the guest list features numerous celebrity faces - though several people won't be receiving invitations to Coleen's milestone celebration. The Vardys - Rebekah and her husband Jamie - will predictably be absent, considering the lengthy Wagatha Christie legal battle between the Vardys and Rooneys.

"He wants Rio Ferdinand there, if he can get over from Portugal. There are a few players that might not be able to make it, but it is going to be full of people that have been there for them: old football teammates, friends in football, family members and close friends," our insider reveals. "But certainly the Vardys won't be invited and there will be a heavy security presence."
