Gemma Atkinson and Gorka Marquez have put their wedding on hold for a second time as they want their son Thiago to be able to walk down the aisle with them

Gemma Atkinson has revealed her delayed wedding to Strictly hunk Gorka Marquez has been paused again.

They have hit the pause button on their nuptials for the second time since he popped the question. The pair, who sparked a romance on the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor back in 2017, have been engaged since 2021.

With their reality show Life Behind the Lens gearing up for another run, Gemma has let slip that they're holding off on tying the knot to ensure the whole family can get in on the action.

She dished out that they first put the brakes on their big day post-proposal because they wanted their little daughter Mia, now four, to walk down the aisle. But with their son Thiago, just nine months old, they're keen for him to join the procession too.

Gemma shared: "We'd like Thiago to be involved now so we're going to have to wait another year or so.", reports the Mirror. When we first got engaged we said we'll get Mia walking down the aisle and then Thiago came along... and there's no time! "

The star confessed that she and Gorka haven't even nailed down what sort of wedding bash they're after. She went on to say: "We were toying with just going to a registry office and then having a big party after. But I think my mum would like to see me walk down the aisle so no plans yet but one day it will happen."

Gemma also opened up about life with their new baby, saying it's "twice the chaos" but equally "twice the love". She added: "I think we're doing alright. Everyone said twice the stress, twice the exhaustion, but it's also twice the love and twice the lovely chaos."

"We know Thiago is our last baby because we've been blessed with a boy and a girl. And you get to relive Mia through him again, although he's his own person. Gorka was feeding him last night in his rocking chair and he said it reminded him of when Mia was like that, because we're never going to get this stage again. So, we're just trying to soak this in more and appreciate it."

"He's definitely slotted in, and I think you're a lot more chilled with the second because you know you can do it. I guess you're tired and knackered, but you were anyway! And Mia's a fantastic sister. She's so hands on with Thiago."

"We were a bit late for school today and she'd forgotten to give him a kiss, so she had to run back in the house and give him a kiss before we left. So, we're very lucky. It's like a nice little complete family with chaos. Two kids, two dogs and a Spaniard! ".
