Kate Lawler has bravely revealed she took her husband to couple's therapy twice during her recent family getaway. She admitted that the pair needed a break due to the toll parenting was taking on their time away.

Former Big Brother winner Kate, 46, is currently loved up with darling husband Martin Bojtos, better known as Boj. The couple got married in June 2022, but the pair had been parents for over a year before, after their daughter Noa was born in February 2021.

But in a new post, Kate said the pair have struggled to adapt to life as parents, needing them to go to therapy as a couple to work through their problems. She insisted, however, that the sessions have helped them to "fiercely" defend their marriage and protect it from stress.

Taking to her Instagram on Thursday (August 14), This Morning host Kate said the sessions were helping their marriage. The couple are now focused on making sure that the sessions are not impeded by the everyday problems that come with being parents.

Sharing a clip to her profile, she and Boj were seen huddled up on the beach enjoying the summer sun. Set to Evren Hale's track Space Between Us, the blonde bombshell looked glamorous as she posed in a satin red bikini, while Martin was wearing some beige swimming shorts.

Writing on the clip, she wrote: "I saw a quote that said, 'If you can get through the stage of marriage where it's all about the kids and working, you can get through anything...'" She then took to the caption as she boldly explained how hard it was to be a mum.

"I know it's not the same for everyone but becoming parents has been the hardest thing we've ever navigated as a couple," she wrote. "During the month we were on holiday, we had couples therapy twice.

"Over the past five years, speaking with Diana regularly has helped us more than words can describe. And if there's one thing I've learnt from these sessions it's this"

She finished: "Always remember to protect your relationship as fiercely as you do your family. Because one day the chaos will settle, and it'll be the two of you again."

Fans were quick to share their admiration for Kate for being so honest about her marriage in the public eye. One user wrote: "It's so important to talk about this, because kids take over your life - as they should, but if you don't protect the relationship you had pre-children, you'll drift apart once they leave home.

"Therapy should be considered for each stage of our lives, we'd be a much better society for it!" they added. While a second penned: "Thank you Kate, so true navigate through the highs and lows. Grateful for your authenticity."
