Comedian Mo Gilligan has revealed he was bizarrely accused of being compromised by the Illuminati because he wore a red suit while hosting the BRIT Awards in 2023. One concerned follower even confronted him about the theory and insisted that he was at danger.
Recalling the odd moment, the Masked Singer star says one fan became convinced that his bold outfit choice was some sort of signal to the illuminati a shadowy conspiracy group some believe secretly controls the worlds rich and powerful.
Going over the baffling conversation, Mo shared: "When I hosted the BRITs a second time I was wearing a red suit and someone was like, Can I ask you something?
"And I said, Yeah, whats up man?
"This was at a time where Ive just finished doing the show in LA as well, and they were like, 'Ive seen a picture of you online and have you been compromised?'"
Originally Mo assumed they meant that his social media accounts had been hacked.
He continued: "Im thinking like do you mean hacked or social media or something and so I was like, 'I dont know' and she goes, 'No because I think you might be compromised, some people get compromised and they dont know', and I was like, 'What are you talking about?'"
Mo went on to explain that the outfit was simply a fashion choice, he added on his podcast Beginning, Middle & End : "And they were like, Because at the BRITs you were wearing a red suit.
"And I was like, 'I just wore that because well I wore it because I done a suit change and we had to go from a purple suit so I was like, Well I cant wear black and so I was like let me wear red and then Ill put a nice black silk shirt basically'"
Laughing off the theory, he added: "Its a no from me boy, Christ - each and every time bro."
