Bayern Munich's Jamal Musiala has been unveiled as the fresh face on the EA FC 26 cover, sharing the spotlight with Jude Bellingham.
After months of eager waiting, EA Sports is finally lifting the lid on EA FC 26, the latest addition to the franchise. To kick off the EA FC 26 era, EA recently revamped all its social media profile pictures with the EA FC 26 logo, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic was revealed as the new EA FC 26 Ultimate Edition cover star at the start of the week.
The standard edition of EA FC 26 now has its cover stars confirmed. Leaks had already hinted that Bellingham would keep his place on the EA FC 26 cover, but a subsequent leak suggesting he'd be joined by Musiala has now been validated, with the German joining the Real Madrid midfielder on the EA FC 26 cover. The pair were once roommates early in their careers.
EA has released the EA FC 26 Standard Edition cover, showcasing both Bellingham and Musiala. The pair, donning the latest Real Madrid and Bayern Munich kits respectively, are depicted emerging from a tunnel, with fans cheering them on from both sides, reports the Mirror.
The backdrop features Champions League branding, confirming the tournament will be fully licensed in EA FC 26. However, the biggest giveaway from the EA FC 26 cover is that Bayern Munich will be a partner club for EA FC 26.
Bayern Munich, previously tied to Konami's eFootball, ended their partnership earlier this year, paving the way for a full-fledged return to EA FC 26. This signifies that the Allianz Arena will be playable in-game for the first time since FIFA 19.
Following his debut on the EA FC 25 cover, EA FC 26 marks Bellingham's second stint as an EA Sports FC cover star, while it's Musiala's maiden appearance on the game's front. In fact, Musiala is the first German and Bundesliga player to grace the cover since Marco Reus in FIFA 17.
It's also the first instance since Kylian Mbappe and Sam Kerr in FIFA 23 where two players have shared the same cover, and I reckon it looks smashing. It lends the game a more serious, competitive edge compared to previous years, and I'm rather fond of it!
