Brazilian UFC fighter Allan Nascimento has been found dead at home after suffering an apparent heart attack. The Brazilian flyweight was pronounced dead at age 34 after suffering the 'heart attack' in his sleep, the UFC has announced.
A statement from the organisation said: This morning, Monday, August 3, our beloved fighter and exemplary flyweight Allan Nascimento was found unresponsive after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep.
Despite the efforts of the responding medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allans family, friends, team-mates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.
Nascimento had won a huge 22 of his 29 fights. Most recently, he fought Mitch Raposo in Las Vegas. Nascimento lost the June fight on a split decision.
"Today I lost a brother that the fight game gave me," fellow fighter Charles Oliveira wrote on social media, which was translated from Portuguese.
"Thank you for always being by my side, for sharing the mats and the corner. I have nothing but gratitude for having you with me in training, in the corner, and just hanging out. I love you, man; you're a legend."
Chute Boxing said: Allan inspired others both on and off the mats with his determination, humility, respect, and fighting spirit.
"His presence will be missed beyond measure. Rest in peace, Allan; your name, your story, and your legacy will live on forever through our star."
Fans paid tribute on social media site X, as one said: "Rest in peace, its crazy he literally just fought like less than a month ago.
A second wrote: Rest in peace Allan.
