John Cena has made history in the main event of WrestleMania with his win over Cody Rhodes gave him a record breaking 17th WWE World Championship win.
Many had backed Cena to win tonight (April 20) in Las Vegas following his shock heel turn at Elimination Chamber.
With his win tonight, Cena has now surpassed Hall of Famer Ric Flair's 16 title reigns, a record he held with him for a number of years.
People were torn by who should win the main event, including the Daily Star staff. Some thought the American Nightmare would reign supreme, where others questioned why the Cena heel turn if he would lose.
Now we know that bad guy Cena is here today, and to get his huge history making victory tonight, he pretty much embraced flair with his dirty tactics.
Even that was not enough to take Cody down as in the end, it came down to artist Travis Scott interfering.
As the crowd popped as some music hit, Scott walked out with fans hoping to hear The Rock follow up.
However, the Final Boss was surprisingly absent from the Grandest Stage of Them All'. The lack of The Great One even had some call the main event "anticlimactic".
One wrote: Anyone else find that very anticlimactic? Like what??? Why did Travis Scott have a 5 minute entrance in the middle of the match and WHERE IS THE ROCK???? Happy for Cena, but WHAT????"
Another commented: "Worst Heel Turn And Mania In History! Had A Basic John Cena Match Travis Scott Run In (NO ROCK) And A Corny Ending."
A third added: "Not having the Rock during this moment really took away any sense of that heel turn it had in the first place."
