Wrestlemania 41's second night is in the books and a new record has been broken. After a damp squib of a first night with only few talking points, the second night in Las Vegas made up for it in the eyes of the WWE Universe
The show kicked off with a triple threat match as Iyo Sky defended her World Women's Championship against Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. Despite being the champion and underdog, Iyo picked up the win to start the night off on a good note.
Drew McIntyre bested rival Damian Priest in a brutal Sin City Street Fight, but it wasn't the match that got people talking. He posted a selfie on social media during the battle and the post got almost 2m views in just under 30mins as fans went wild for the Scottish warrior's mid-match antics.
While on the outside with Priest, McIntyre's brother handed him the phone for a quick snap, and as Priest is sat in agony, McIntyre throws up an offensive gesture, much to the delight of the crowd.
The Sin City Street Fight certainly did not disappoint, but it was McIntyre's selfie antics which stole the show.
The much-hated Dominik Mysterio caused chaos moments later as he won the Intercontinental Championship in a fatal fourway match against Bron Breakker, Finn Balor and Penta.
For the first time ever, the crowd actually cheered the bloke . . .
Next up was perhaps the most anticipated match, as Randy Orton held and open challenge which was answered by Scotland's own Joe Hendry, who is also the TNA World Champion.
The fans went crazy for Hendry, although he lost within 10 minutes to the legendary Viper, which was followed by Logan Paul beating AJ Styles.
Becky Lynch made her long-awaited return to action, teaming with Lyra Valkyria as a replacement for Bayley to take on Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Women's Tag Team Titles. Lynch and Valkyria won, which further delighted a delirious crowd.
And then came the battle everyone had been waiting for a bad guy John Cena vs Cody Rhodes for the WWE Championship.
Many had backed Cena to win tonight (April 20) in Las Vegas following his shock heel turn at Elimination Chamber and he did not disappoint, as he took home the gold.
With his win tonight, Cena has now surpassed Hall of Famer Ric Flair's 16 title reigns, a record he held with him for a number of years.
However, the Final Boss, The Rock was surprisingly absent from the Grandest Stage of Them All'. The lack of The Great One even had some call the main event "anticlimactic".
