Elon Musk is a big fan of video games, having recently found himself embroiled in a social media disagreement with an Xbox developer and committing to using AI "to make games great again", but his actual credentials as an ARPG player are up for debate.
The SpaceX and Tesla boss has previously boasted about being one of the best in the world at Diablo 4, but has recently been accused of sharing a Path of Exile 2 account with someone to boost his level.
Now, Musk has responded to a clip about the Path of Exile 2 drama, sharing direct messages from popular streamer Zack 'Asmongold' Hoyt and seemingly taking umbrage with the accusations that he's been 'boosting' his account.
Speaking on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Musk responded to a clip from a content creator discussing the Path of Exile 2 situation.
Taking aim at Asmongold's video where the streamer says "there's no way he played that account", Musk said "Asmon behaves like a maverick independent, but in reality has to ask his boss for permission before he can do anything. He is not his own man."
After sharing a world record stream of the Diablo 4 Abbatoir of Zir, Musk told one fan that there are "way more receipts where that came from".
Musk has unfollowed Hoyt on X and his verification has been removed in the last few hours, and said in another post "Im on hundreds of streams on YouTube/Twitch playing live with the worlds best players."
"No other way to say this, but, while Asmon IS good at caustic commentary and making fun of people, he is NOT good at video games."
Hoyt was suspended from Twitch in October last year after a rant about the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine, saying that Palestinians come from an "inferior culture".
