GTA fans are getting increasingly desperate for news about the series' latest entry, with some predicting a new Grand Theft Auto 6 trailer is just around the corner

It's been a whole year since Grand Theft Auto 6's trailer dropped and while a rumoured PlayStation event didn't materialise, fans are getting more and more desperate for an update on the next instalment in the series.

We reported yesterday that a mysterious playlist update had fans expecting more updates from Vice City, but over on the GTA 6 subreddit, users are clutching at more straws, predicting a December 5 Trailer 2 release date from Rockstar Games.

Fans convinced GTA 6 trailer coming this week after Rockstar's social media makes subtle change

Over on the subreddit, one fan noted that Rockstar has posted multiple times in one day on its X (formerly Twitter) account, something it doesn't do often.

None of what was posted is linked to GTA 6, but it focuses on Red Dead Online, GTA Online's new Agents of Sabotage update, and Rockstar's own Holiday Store sale.

So is it a heavy news week for the famed developer, or is it cleaning house to be able to drop a larger announcement this week?

Fans hope for it to be the latter, but they're seeing the funny side at least.

"The theory that Rockstar are posting everything today to clear out way for GTA 6 Trailer 2 may be true (takes pill)" the original poster said.

"I am 100% sure that the employee posting these is always giggling as they're pressing the "post" button," one added, while another joked "Guys my uncle is John Rockstar. He says trailer 2 will be the 6th post of the day!"

One fan said "Man, when everyone says its not a coincidence it always ends up being a coincidence," but we'll soon find out - some fans are convinced the new trailer will arrive on Thursday, so we'll know more very soon.
