GTA 6 earnings call explained: When is Take-Two meeting that could reveal release date?

While we heard a rumour last week about GTA 6 launching in September, the retailer has now confirmed it's not based on any insider information but we know when we will hear

Despite some fan predictions that we'd get a new GTA 6 trailer last week, along with some information about the game's release date, that didn't happen.

That means we've been waiting for an update since December 2023, but fans have circled February 6 on their collective calendars for a reason. That's because, as a publicly traded company, Rockstar Games' publisher Take-Two will hold its first earnings call of 2025 the year Grand Theft Auto 6 should finally launch.

That makes this particular call crucial, because it could be our first indication about whether GTA 6 is coming in 2025, or if it'll slip to 2026.

As we pointed out yesterday, Take-Two's CEO has been particularly bullish on what Rockstar Games has been cooking up for the last few years.

CEO Strauss Zelnick has tipped the studio to "deliver something phenomenal" and dubbed the game "extraordinary", but he's not said anything on the release timeframe at least not yet.

We may also hear whether the game will cost more than the standard $70 to help 'save the video game industry', or if GTA 6 will launch in two parts so players can get into the multiplayer mode without buying the whole game.

If it does end up being delayed, at least there's the cheekily-titled parody Grand Taking Ages to help get you through to 2026.

As a reminder, Take-Two isn't all about Rockstar Games. The publisher's portfolio also includes 2K, so Borderlands 4, which is slated to launch in 2025, Civilization 7 which launches this month, and both WWE 2K and NBA 2K could see a mention.
