GTA 6 release date good news: Rockstar Games employee confirms 'Unannounced AAA Title'

The GTA 6 release date could be coming sooner than you think, as one Rockstar Games employee Linkedin seems to hint at a possible Unannounced AAA Title from the company.

,GTA VI: Voice actors talk about the potential of new content,

As GTA 6 leaks go, this feels like a fairly robust discovery by the games Reddit community and could, potentially, suggest that Rockstar Games are indeed well into development of a brand new game.

Redditors have done what they usually do, and comb through the internet looking for clues that could indicate Rockstar Games have something brewing in the background.

Whilst Red Dead Redemption 2 has been the main undertaking for the studio of late, most notably with the game's launch on PC this week.

Either way, it's hard to imagine that Rockstar Games don't have other projects being worked on behind the scenes in some form or another.

That's why this latest discovery by Reddit user CShepFTW feels so interesting.

The discovery in question concerns the Linkedin page for one Environment Artist (known as Chandan Acharya) working at Rockstar Games India.

According to his personal Linkedin page, Acharya lists an "Unannounced AAA Title" that he's been working on from "Feb 2017 Present"

What could this project be? Well, that's an interesting question.

In truth, it could be anything , but most would probably point towards GTA 6, because it's naturally expected to be the developers next big 'AAA' project.

Is this Rockstar Games India environment artist working on GTA 6?

What makes the discovery even more intriguing is when you factor in some of the new job posting's we've seen recently.

We noted a few days ago that Rockstar Games ' Talent Acquisition Lead at Rockstar Games India was also looking for game testers.

The post in question said: "Rockstar India is hosting a recruitment drive in PUNE for GAME TESTERS on 16th & 17th November 2019."

You can see some of the other details on the below image.

But the combination of a Rockstar Games India employee working on an Unannounced AAA Game and the studio looking for testers sure does raise a lot of red flags that suggest the developer could be on the cusp of announcing something big.

Potentially as a 2020 holiday release, but that's just our idle speculation rather than anything official.

Even then, we know Rockstar has no qualms delaying games so even if it was something coming out in 2020, it could easily be pushed back.

Rockstar India is hosting a recruitment drive in PUNE for GAME TESTERS on 16th & 17th November 2019.

Either way, we'd wager that at this stage whatever Rockstar is working on, it's likely being developed with PS4 and Xbox One in mind as opposed to just PS5 and Xbox Scarlett.

After all, with such an emphasis on backwards compatibility and cross-platform play, at this point, it would seem churlish to not develop something as a cross-generational game.

Equally, we'll curtail any suggestions with the possibility that this could just as easily be a new IP or another game in the Rockstar Games catalogue.

For instance, we're not going to rule out the possibility that it could be Bully 2, a game that has long been rumoured to return, but was potentially put on ice some years back.

Recent sources told VGC that Rockstar New England had shelved development of Bully 2. Maybe the acquisition of Dhruva Interactive would have allowed for the project to be resurrected.

There's also a question mark hanging over Ruffian Games, who recently announced they were looking for new hires to work on some "unspecified titles" with Rockstar Games.

Stay tuned for more info, we doubt this will be the last we hear about Rockstar Games India, or indeed GTA 6.
