TikTok users have been installing a tool which promises to let them see nude videos on the platformor so they think.

A TikTok trend called the 'Invisible Challenge' sees users pose naked on camera then use a video filter called 'Invisible Body', which removes their body from the video and leaves only a tantalising outline.

A series of viral videos have been shared promoting fake software that promises to remove this filterand reveal the nudes.

However, it turns out cybercriminals are behind it, and have been hijacking TikTok users' thirst for saucy vids in order to catch them with their trousers down.

Content cannot be displayed without consent

Cybersecurity experts at Checkmarx found that the scam videos have had more than 1 million views combined, and more than 30,000 people have fallen for the trick and joined a Discord server which promises to install software that can 'remove filter invisible body'.

By digging into the software's files, they found it actually contained WASP stealer malware which can steal passwords, credit card numbers, private data and much more.

Guy Nachson, a software engineer at Checkmarx, said: "The high number of users tempted to join this Discord server and potentially install this malware is concerning."

He continued: "The level of manipulation used by software supply chain attackers is increasing as attackers become increasingly clever."

It goes to show that if something is too good to be true, it probably is. Avoid installing software from dodgy links or Discord channels, and always scan files with an antivirus before you install them.

Plus, you really shouldn't be trying to look at people's nude videos or images without their consent. It's not only unethical, but it could be illegal.
