Spontaneous Brits could win a free sun-soaked trip to Ibiza

Brits are being offered a potential free trip to Ibiza, but there's a catch. They must be prepared to fly out at a moment's notice. Party-goers attending a special event in London will be randomly chosen and offered the chance to hop on a plane the very next day for an unforgettable escapade.

This unique offer comes as research reveals that four in ten believe saying yes more often is a chance to escape to boring routine of daily life, and two thirds reckon the best memories stem from spur-of-the-moment decisions. However, most Brits admit that being spontaneous can be a tough task.

In an effort to jumpstart summer early, San Miguel has teamed up with electronic music magazine, Mixmag, to launch Fly San Miguel, a one-off shindig set to take place in Hackney Wick, London.

Curated by Mixmag, attendees will be treated to Balearic beats from Eats Everything, Tibasko, Storm Mollison, and Paige Tomlinson, promising a night brimming with summer vibes and potentially even a gratis jaunt to Ibiza.

A spokesperson for San Miguel remarked: "The adult population would love to live more like the Spanish, embracing spontaneity, sun and connection. This is our invitation to dare to do that: to break free from the everyday, say si to new adventures, and prove that a Spanish summer feeling can be found anywhere - even on a Thursday night in Hackney Wick."

According to the study, many Brits would like to spend more time outdoors, particularly during the evenings, and indulge in leisurely lunches and siestas to give their summer a more laid-back, Spanish vibe.

A notable 54% believe their happiness would significantly improve if they adopted a more Spanish approach to summer.

Yet, a considerable 62% of Brits wish they were freer and more easy going. However, nearly half tend to overanalyse decisions, while financial worries and uncertainty about the future also hold them back from being more spontaneous.

Many say they would be inspired to be more spontaneous if they had a supportive friend or partner. But still, a quarter admitted they get apprehensive when someone suggests doing something out of the ordinary.

According to the research, last-minute getaways, exploring new areas without a set plan, and accepting social invitations on short notice are among the spontaneous activities Brits would want to try.

A spokesperson for the beer brand commented: "Fly San Miguel isn't just a party - it's a mindset, a gateway to possibility. It's about saying yes to adventure, no matter where you are. This summer, we're bringing that Spanish feeling to every corner of the UK. "
