Danny Dyer had to step in to get OAPs to stop fighting at a holiday resort. Instead, he decided to settle the argument by creating a 'Granny Prix' race.
EastEnders star Danny, 48, has been busy filming new projects as he steps away from Albert Square. But as he was on set starring in his new project, he said the two groups at the caravan park where his new TV show was filmed did not get on.
Rivals star Danny was joined by his daughter Dani, 29 for new Sky telly series The Dyers' Caravan Park. He admitted he needed her to "rein me in" as he chucked money at running the place.
Danny, 48, bragged: "We discovered the two sides of the site Priory Hill and Nutts Farm dont get on. So I thought pitting them against each other would bring them together!
"We had the 'Grandaddy National', where the old boys had a race, and the winner won a weeks free fry-ups. And then we had the 'Granny Prix' with the old girls racing mobility scooters and the winner got a six-wheel shopping trolley and a date with me!"
The six-part series follows the pair bidding to transform Priory Hill Holiday Park, located in Leys-down-on-Sea on the Isle of Sheppey. Viewers eager to see what the father-daughter duo will get up to will see Danny pull in celebrity pals to entertain the residents.
Former footie boss Harry Redknapp rocks up for a kickabout, ex-soap star Shaun Williams performed his cheesy 'Barry-oke' and Spandau Ballet's Martin Kemp DJ-ed their '80s night. Danny added: "They took so much money at the bar, and everyone made an effort.
"I was really proud," notorious hardman Danny admitted as he looked back on the work he put in over the course of the show. "It was about bringing everyone together."
But not all his big ideas went according to plan, as viewers are set to see. The duo designed a massive billboard to promote the site on the side of the Isle of Sheppey bridge that came a cropper.
He winced: "I wanted people to look at it, and... youll see. Anyway, it ended up being defaced. Someone drew a cock on me head."
The Dyers' Caravan Park starts on Sky One on Tuesday at 9pm
