Another EastEnders star has confirmed their BBC One soap exit.

Only recently, villain Gray Atkins made an explosive return. Just last month, Ian Beale was handed an eight-month prison sentence and recent episodes have shown the Walford veteran struggling to adjust to prison life, especially when coming face-to-face with Gray.

Ian, played by Adam Woodyatt, was put in prison and received his sentence for driving under the influence and knocking down Chelsea Fox's young son Jordan, whose father is evil Gray.

Gray has been manipulating Ian on the BBC One soap in order for his prison protection and on Thursday's episode, Gray threatened Ian with a bladed weapon, where after a struggle, Gray was stabbed.

Later, Chelsea confronted Gray in hospital, where it seemed a conclusion for the villain's storyline.

Taking to Instagram, Gray star Toby-Alexander Smith appeared to also confirm his exit, where he shared a picture of himself in character and wrote: "Well Walford, its been wildagain @bbceastenders" with an eyes emoji.

Responding in the comments, one person said: "Personally wish he would come back for good!" while a different account put: "You play your part brilliantly and so convincing...gutted its only been a short stint ...wishing you all the best for your future roles."

Another soap watcher commented: "Amazing scenes tonight! Best comeback ever! Great acting between you and Adam."

A different fan wrote: "Ive loved it!! Youre an absolute legend! Such a brilliant actor x" while a different viewer added: "You play the part so well come back permanently."

Meanwhile, another EastEnders fan commented: "Noooo!! Please stay" while a different viewer added: "Please come back" with a crying emoji.

Soap watchers will recall that evil Gray killed three people in EastEnders - Chantelle Atkins, Kush Kazemi, and Tina Carter during his time in Albert Square from 2019 to 2022.

Gray has been in HMP Woodhurst since his evil crimes came to light in 2022 and now he has been joined by Ian. It remains to be seen if this is the last of Gray...
