Ice-skating legend Christopher Dean could be swapping the rink for the jungle as he's lined up for this year's I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
The Olympic gold medallist, who shot to fame alongside skating partner Jayne Torvill, is understood to be in talks with ITV bosses about joining the hit reality show when it returns to Australia later this year.
Christopher has reportedly been on producers' wish list for years, but had always turned down approaches in the past. However, after recently retiring from performing, he's believed to be considering taking on a brand-new challenge. A TV insider said: "Christopher is part of the ITV family thanks to his time on Dancing On Ice, but he's always been adamant the jungle isn't for him.
"When bosses came knocking this year, he saw it in a different light. He's recently retired and is looking for a new challenge.
"I'm A Celebrity is certainly that, so he has met with producers a few times already to talk through being a campmate for this year's Australian series.
"Everyone at ITV has their fingers crossed that they will secure him."
Christopher and Jayne Torvill became household names after winning gold at the 1984 Winter Olympics with their unforgettable Bolero routine, which remains one of the most iconic performances in British sporting history. The pair also claimed bronze at the 1994 Winter Olympics.
Away from competition, the duo became firm ITV favourites after joining Dancing On Ice in 2006 as judges and coaches. They remained at the heart of the skating competition until it was axed last year.
The pair officially bowed out from performing after delivering an emotional farewell routine during the Dancing On Ice grand final in March 2025.
They then headed out on their 28-date farewell arena tour, *Our Last Dance*, which concluded in their hometown of Nottingham in July 2025.
Now, after hanging up his skates, Christopher could be preparing for a very different test of endurance in the Australian jungle.
