The Repair Shop viewers were thrilled at some amazing engagement news on the BBC show.
Celebrations were definitely called for during the most recent instalment of The Repair Shop as BBC audiences witnessed art on paper conservator Angelina Bakalarou reveal some thrilling news. While she waited for their next visitor to enter the barn, regular upholstery specialist Sonnaz Nooranvary enquired about how she was getting on.
Angelica promptly lifted her hand to display her ring while radiating joy, declaring, 'I'm engaged!' Her BBC colleague was swift to extend her congratulations, expressing how 'delighted' she was for her. Taking a closer look at her hand, Sonnaz exclaimed 'Look at that ring!'.
BBC watchers were given a detailed view as it revealed a gold band featuring a red gem at its centre, reports the Mirror, reports the Express.
When the programme originally broadcast last autumn, The Repair Shop enthusiasts were eager to congratulate Angelica. One viewer on social media expressed hopes that Angelica and her other half would enjoy 'many blissful years together'.
Another individual celebrated the 'marvellous' announcement, while someone else remarked on how perfectly suited the BBC personality and her partner appeared as a pair. While it's not certain how long the BBC expert has been with her partner, Simone, he first appeared on her Instagram back in 2015.
The specialist frequently offers snapshots of their adventures, having visited destinations including Doha and Sardinia.
BBC audiences initially witnessed Angelica make her first appearance in the barn during 2023, though she's well acquainted with the show's regulars, being mates with Will Kirk. The star, who has been a fixture on the BBC programme since its inception, posted a photo of herself and her colleagues enjoying a day out shortly after her debut episode.
She revealed that a member of the production team initially reached out to her via email, which led to a series of interviews and discussions, and before she knew it, she was in the barn. She described the entire experience as 'surreal'.
When asked about the most challenging item she's repaired, the BBC star responded: "Well, everything, I would say that everything has been challenging, or has had its own challenges, because not one item is the same.
"You can never assume that it is going to be the same thing that happened to you, even one time before. So, one of the most challenging, I would say, was the helmet because it was a 3D object.
"I had never done a 3D object before in my life. So that was like a massive thing where I had to think outside the box and think of different approaches to how to fix something that fits on someone's head. So that was quite challenging."
The Repair Shop is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
