A mum, who has been dubbed 'Britain's most hated woman', has hit out at her neighbours, accusing them of being "nosey" when Stacey Dooley filmed at her home.

The Strictly Come Dancing star and documentary maker paid a visit to the infamous mum for the third series of Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over. The purpose of Stacey's visit was to delve into Carla's lifestyle after she faced backlash on This Morning for feigning depression to secure a free nose job on the NHS.

During the episode, Stacey discussed the controversial headlines that often revolve around Carla, stating: "I think it's undeniable the controversial headlines have affected [your] children."

However, in an interview with Manchester Evening News, Carla claimed her neighbours, who she believes are fixated on her, couldn't resist being "nosey" while Stacey was staying over.

When asked about local chatter in her hometown in Hertfordshire, she revealed: "If I ever have film crews around, they will purposely say, 'We are cutting the hedge today.' Really? Come on.

"Even when we filmed Stacey Dooley, when that happened the crew asked for half an hour's peace, and they started to cut hedges..."

Despite the Stacey Dooley documentary airing in 2022, Carla's disputes with her neighbours continue, and her latest issue has "ruined" her summer evenings.

Speaking to the Mirror, she said: "They burn wood every weekend starting from a Friday night always. So our summer evenings having vino in the garden is a no go.

"It stinks and I have no idea why they do it. I think they are farmers, our houses go back on to a field, and I honestly think they think they own the farmer's field."

The mum-of-four quipped: "Maybe they burn wood for their fire but it's summer so I have no idea but it is probably to p*** me off and ruin my summer vino nights chilling to music."

She described the smoke billowing from the wood burning as "horrific" and explained it's particularly troublesome given that she and several family members battle asthma. She went on to say that the Friday ritual affects her breathing whenever she ventures outdoors.

She continued: "I have never experienced something like this, they have even built a wood burning shed thing, it's insane."

Nevertheless, she said she's come to terms with the situation, expressing her longing for a world where neighbourly harmony could prevail.

She reflected: "I think people are just rude and I don't know why everyone can't get along. I know it's a free world but come on, to burn wood...

"There is more to life than fixing a bloody house 24/7. I do not understand the British mentality with houses, it's their life, but memories last for a lifetime, a house is only bricks and water."
