Most people in the UK stay in education until the age of 18, with nearly half of 17-30 year olds going on to Higher Education. The coalition government made the controversial decision bring student fees up to 9,000. The current Secretary of State for Education is Nicky Morgan, although power is devolved to Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish governments.
