KFC shut as man with 'head injury' taken to Royal Stoke

Police and paramedics were called to the scene

Royal Stoke University Hospital

Police and paramedics have been called to a 'man with a head injury' at a KFC branch. A diner has reported that the KFC branch - on King Street, in Fenton - was closed at the height of the incident.

The drama unfolded at 9.30pm on Thursday 30 July. It had followed an earlier incident on nearby Victoria Road.

Now one man has been arrested, questioned, and bailed in connection with the incident.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said: "A man has been arrested following damage to a property in Stoke-on-Trent. We received a report that a window at a home on Victoria Road had been smashed. Officers then went to KFC, on King Street, following reports of a man with a head injury. A 31-year-old man, from the Stoke-on-Trent area, has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage. He has been released under investigation whilst our enquiries continue."

Paramedics had been called to the KFC branch at 9.40pm on Thursday.
