Stoke is one of the six towns which make up the city of Stoke-on-Trent. It is home to the city's main railway station - adjacent to Staffordshire University's campus - as well as Stoke-on-Trent City Council's civic HQ and the Victorian Kings Hall. The former Spode pottery works is based in Stoke town and the venue for the popular British Ceramics Biennial.
