Police have arrested a 34-year-old following an arson attack in North Staffordshire. It comes as firefighters had been sent to Kingsley Holt on Sunday morning.
On arrival they found a 'small fire in a hedge' on Shawe Park Road. Now police have quizzed a 34-year-old man from Cheadle over Sunday's blaze.
The alarm had been raised at 7.45am.
A spokeswoman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "One appliance attended the scene and used a hose reel jet to extinguish a small fire in a hedge. Nobody was reported injured. The cause was deemed to be deliberate and the incident has been left with colleagues from Staffordshire Police."
Staffordshire Police say the suspect was arrested on suspicion of arson.
A spokeswoman said: "He has since been released on bail with conditions whilst our enquiries continue. We are appealing for anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage of the area at the time to contact us."
Anyone with information should call 101 and quote incident 169 of August 2.
