Town centre pub with dining room selling oysters now open

A town centre pub has opened. The Bell at Mulnestrete opened on Mill Street, in Congleton, over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

It boasts a pub, a dining room, and a beer garden. The menu includes oysters, burgers, and steaks.

Now the venue has been transformed from the shell of the old Lion & Bell that had been shut since before Covid. It was latterley The Piano Bar.

In a social media post, the venue stated: "You came in your masses, you danced, you ate, you drank, and you reminded us why we wanted to build this pub in the town we love. Thank you Congleton. Well see you again soon."

The pub side of The Bell on Mulnestrete is open 3pm to 11pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; 3pm to 11.30pm on Thursdays; 1pm to midnight on Fridays; midday to midnight on Saturdays; and midday to 10pm on Sundays. The dining room is open from 4pm to 8.15pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays; 4pm to 8.30pm on Fridays; midday to 8.30pm on Saturdays; and midday to 6.30pm on Sundays.
