Lymelight Festival 2026: 60+ acts across three venues and three outdoor stages

Here's everything you need to know

Lymelight Festival

Thousands of people are expected to turn out to see more than 60 acts perform at a two-day town centre festival. Lymelight Festival returns to Newcastle-under-Lyme on Saturday, May 23 and and Sunday, May 24 with the full line-up now announced for two days of live music, culture and town centre energy.

The event once again turns the town into a live music takeover, with three outdoor stages across the Guildhall, Ironmarket and the 6 Towns Radio Acoustic Stage outside Keele in Town. Acts appearing include Greg Murray, Jorge Wilson and Ava Ralph.

Now in its 13th year, Lymelight will also herald a wider programme in venues and spaces across the town.

Live music will continue into the evening at venues including The Crossways, The Rigger and Artisan Tap. Visitors can also enjoy street food, Castle Artisan Market traders, pop-up activity from Drop City Books, and free creative workshops.

On Sunday morning, visitors can also take part in a free Stretch & Start session at Divinity Studios.

Charl Pearce, manager of organiser Newcastle Business Improvement District, said: Lymelight has grown year on year because its built around the town and the people in it. It brings people into the town centre, supports our local businesses and creates a real atmosphere right across the weekend. Keeping Lymelight free is really important to us. People can come down for an hour, stay all day, or make a full weekend of it without that barrier.

Last years event attracted about 16,000 visitors. This year it runs from noon to 9.30pm across both days.
