A country pub has reopened - with new landlords. Mat Allen and Celia Pemberton-Allen had taken over The Crewe Arms Hotel, in Madeley, last September after leaving The Birches Head.
But they left earlier this year and now the Wharf Terrace venue is back open.
Now new licensees Martin and Alison have launched a quiz night - with bingo, comedy nights and a carvery every Friday, Saturday and Sunday to come. Buffet breakfasts are also being served every weekend to walk-in customers as well as hotel guests.
In a social media post to drinkers, Martin and Alison stated: "Were a big family with a big heart and lots of love for your amazing local pub. The welcome and support from the local community has been incredible - it really means a lot to us.
"Were so happy to be part of building something special here in Madeley. Were taking our time finding our feet while we continue clearing and refreshing the pub. Were building on the great atmosphere and sense of fun created by previous tenants and all the hard work thats gone into this place over many years. Were excited about whats to come."
The Crewe Arms Hotel is now open from 2pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday; midday to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays; and midday to 11pm on Sundays.
