No, but it helps. :)

What domain specific Python-like implementations exist?
-------------------------------------------------------

While CPython is perfectly capable for most use cases, there are a number of
implementations focused on particular problem domains that might be very useful.
Note that, while related to Python, you should not expect these implementations
to follow the Python language reference to the letter.

MicroPython and CircuitPython are optimised to run on microcontrollers and
constrained environments, with CircuitPython in particular targeting students
and beginners, with a strong focus on Adafruit's open-hardware boards. For more
information see: https://micropython.org and
https://github.com/adafruit/circuitpython.

Brython, RapydScript and Skulpt are source-to-source compilers for client side
Web scripting, that, combined with a server-side Python stack, allows you to
have a solution-wide programming language. For more information see:
https://brython.info, https://github.com/atsepkov/RapydScript, and
http://www.skulpt.org.

VPython focuses on the making of navigable real-time 3D animations which, via
RapydScript, can easily be run on the Web browser. For more information see:
http://vpython.org.

IPython is an interactive shell with support for data visualization and use of
GUI toolkits other than Tk, that also lets you save instructions in so-called
"notebooks" that can be run interactively later. For more information see:
https://ipython.org.
