Hero Abilities | Marvel Rivals Wiki

The abilities are sets of skills each hero has in Marvel Rivals. These abilities can have different functions depending on the role of the hero. For example, Vanguards, which are focused on protecting the team or defending zones, will have abilities based on crowd control and shielding. Duelists, on the other side, will have damage-based abilities that could help them burst their enemies. Lastly, Strategists usually count on healing abilities and defensive tools to survive whenever they get threatened.

Each hero has around eight abilities per kit, with some exceptions, like Namor, who only has six abilities, or Hulk, who has eleven, assorted between Bruce Banner, Hero Hulk, and Monster Hulk.

Alongside their ability kit, most heroes have a melee attack that can be executed with the V key (in PC). This attack usually doesn't count as an ability unless it has an extra utility (Groot's Furious Flora, for example, which Launches enemies Up after hitting three times). The same happens with the jumps, executed with the space bar (in PC), and only count as an ability if it provides an extra skill (Hawkeye's Skyward Leap, for example, allows Hawkeye to jump in the air.)

Aside from their regular abilities, some heroes have passive abilities that give them unique characteristics. The passive abilities don't need to be cast; they will activate upon a specific situation (Adam Warlock's Regenerative Cocoon, for example, activates after Adam Warlock gets knocked down).

Lastly, each hero has at least one unique ability that only works when a specific hero joins their team. These abilities are known as Team Up Abilities. Some heroes just get a special buff (Cloak & Dagger's From Shadow to Light, for example, which only works when Moon Knight is on the field and provides Cloak & Dagger with a 15% healing boost). In contrast, others unlock a new ability that can combine with the rest of their set (Moon Knight's Full Moon, for example, only works when Cloak & Dagger is on his team, letting him get invisible for a while).
