Two former EastEnders stars have launched new versions of themselves using AI. The avatars, however, lead rather different lives from the actors they are modelled on.
Danniella Westbrook, 52, and Joshua Pascoe, 31, are best known for playing aunt and nephew pair Sam and Ben Mitchell on the legendary BBC soap. However, Danniella and Josh have long since left the show behind and are now embarking on alternate careers.
Josh has taken on other acting roles while also sharing saucy content of himself online. Meanwhile, Danniella has been open about her struggles with addiction and her brutal journey to reconstruct her face after her nasal septum eroded away.
Now, the pair have launched their own avatars through a new AI chatbot service which will let fans get an extra glimpse of them in the virtual world. The duo have released their AI avatars through OhChat, which allows fans to speak with the actors 24 hours a day.
Taking to her Instagram account earlier this week, Danniella shared a series of videos in collaboration with the company. In one clip, an AI-generated island town can be seen before the camera pans to reveal Danniella standing on top of a London taxi.
She was later seen strolling along the East End street markets, with her blond hair billowing in the wind, before she was seen laying down among the "fruit" on sale. She also could be seen spray painting a wall, walking through a laundrette and walking through tower blocks.
At the end of the clip, some text appeared, reading: "Some diamonds can't be bought. They have to be experienced."
OhChat uploaded the video with Danniella collaborating, writing in the caption: "Word on the Ends is... she's here. Daniella Westbrook is officially live, come say hello."
Meanwhile, Joshua took to his X profile to share some exclusive snaps of his AI-generated self, sporting rock hard abs and a builder's look. Writing in the post promoting his latest venture, Joshua revealed his avatar would get racy if asked.
"I made an AI version of myself and honestly, he might be more dangerous than me," he wrote to his followers. "I put him on OhChat and things can get a little naughty over there."
Fans have been split on the pair's latest endeavours, however, as they took to the comments section to vent their frustrations. Daniella's avatar was welcomed, as one user penned: "Legend and empress!"
But a second user gave caution to Joshua: "Honestly, the real you is much prettier [fire emoji] than his AI twin. If I had to choose, I would choose the real you a hundred times."
