In The Last Of Us Part 2, Holsters allow you to switch between weapons faster. With that in mind, you'll want to know where to get the short gun holster asap in the game.

The Short Gun Holster in The Last Of Us 2 allows you to equip both of your pistols at the same time.

This is especially useful because it allows you to swap between them using R1 in a pinch, rather than having to open your backpack and hold square to swap them over.

The Short Gun Holster is one of the trickier collectibles to locate in TLOU2, however.

Fairly early into the Seattle Day 2 chapter, youll need to move a dumpster to climb over a wall into an enclosed neighbourhood.

Once there, you can find another dumpster in the far corner of the neighbourhood, blocking up the door to the Auto Repair shop.

Inside is a large group of infected, so be ready with some explosives or flammables to deal with the pack.

Once youve cleared them, youll see a safe on the floor.

The combination for the safe can be found on the other side of the street in a kitchen (but to save you some time, its: 30-82-65.)

Once you pop open the safe, youll find the Short Gun Holster lying inside!

Though not the most exciting collectible to find, youll be very glad you have it when you run out of bullets in one pistol and want to swap to another mid-fight.

The Last of Us, Part II outshines the original in practically every way. The game takes level design, combat, stealth, AI and interactive narrative and uses each element to elevate the other.

Unpredictable, intelligent and self-aware, this game seems to pride itself on digging into your head and staying there allowing its themes and messages to grow and mutate long after the credits roll.

Naughty Dog knows just when to take your tools off you, remove the safety blanket and provoke you. It weaves inconsistent pacing and tension together masterfully to leave you as scared and vulnerable as its protagonists.

This is a game thats going to be talked about for a long time to come, and with good reason. A masterpiece.
