Select your AppleAccount picture on Mac

You can set a photo, Memoji, emoji or other image as your AppleAccount picture. Your AppleAccount picture is also displayed as your user login picture on your Mac and as the picture for your My Card in Contacts.

Go to the System Settings app [] on your Mac.
Click your name at the top of the sidebar.
If you dont see your name, click Sign in, enter your Apple Account email address or phone number, then enter your password.
Open Apple Account settings for me
Click your current Apple Account picture.

Do any of the following:
- Select a Memoji: Click Memoji in the sidebar, then click one of the displayed Memoji or Animoji, or click [the Add button]. Select and customise facial features and other items such as clothing, then click Done. Click Pose to choose how you want your Memoji or Animoji to pose. Click Style to set a background colour.

  Tip: Animate your user login picture. Set a Memoji or Animoji as your AppleAccount picture and watch as it comes to life every time you log in to your user account.
- Select an emoji: Click Emoji in the sidebar, then click one of the displayed emoji, or click [the Add button], then select an emoji. Click Style, then select a background colour.

- Select a monogram: Click Monogram in the sidebar, select a background colour, then enter up to two initials.

- Take a picture using the camera on your Mac: Click Camera in the sidebar, set up your shot, then click [the Camera button]. You can retake the photo as many times as you need to.

- Select a photo from your Photos library: Click Photos in the sidebar, then select a photo. To see photos from a specific album, click Albums in the sidebar, then select a photo.

  Tip: To quickly replace the current AppleAccount picture with an image on your desktop, drag the image from the desktop or a Finder window onto the current picture in the sidebar.
- Select a suggested image: Click Suggestions in the sidebar, then select a picture.

After you select an image, you can adjust the way it looks by doing any of the following in the sidebar:
- Adjust the image location: Drag the picture around within the circle.
- Zoom in or out: Drag the slider left or right.
When youre done, click Save.
