Iran: Donald Trump not ready for retaliation claims expert

Tensions between the USA and Iran are at an all-time high following the assassination of top Iranian general Qassem Soleimani, which has sparked fears a third World War is closing in.

The events, orchestrated by President Donald Trump, could spark the beginning of World War Three - and all out nuclear warfare.

In the case of a nuclear war, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) say: It would have devastating results and there would be limited time to take critical protection steps.

They add that planning and preparation beforehand can decrease chances of death and disease.

They explained: For instance, most people dont realise that sheltering in a place for at least 24 hours is crucial to saving lives and reducing exposure to radiation.

Solemani was commander of Irans elite Quds, a branch of the nations security forces responsible for overseas operations, and his death means outbreak of World War Three in the Middle East is looking increasingly likely.

Former White House co-ordinator for the Middle East and Persian Gulf during the Obama administration, Philip Gordon said the move from the USA was little short of a declaration of war on the Iranians.

Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said: We have always recognised the aggressive threat posed by the Iranian Quds led by Qasem Soleimani.
