Among the strategist heroes available is arguably the cutest one in Marvel Rivals - Jeff the Land Shark. While most sharks are known for being vicious and scary, Jeff is a friendly exception. He's one of the best teammates you can have, helping you survive and secure the win.
Jeff is a beginner-friendly strategist who excels at healing allies up close and keeping them in top shape.
Not only that, but he also boasts the best mobility for a strategist, thanks to his ability, Hide and Seek, that allow him to traverse the map faster and escape dangerous situations more quickly.
All of this makes it easy to use even for someone who has never played a hero shooter before.
Jeffs abilities are primarily focused on healing and boosting the healing allies receive. The table below breaks down each of his abilities in detail.

Jeff's ultimate ability allows him to swallow both enemies and allies within range, dealing continuous damage to enemies. You can choose to spit out allies or enemies at will. |

Jeff is a hero best played by staying close to your teammates to keep them healed. His healing splash can target multiple allies at once, preventing anyone from reaching critical health. With a decent healing range, this ability pairs well with other long-range healers like Luna Snow or Rocket Raccoon.
Jeff's mobility is a key strength, allowing him to escape dangerous situations or reposition quickly. The Hide and Seek ability has no cooldown, so make sure to use it frequently if you're being targeted. Additionally, wall crawling provides a practical escape option, especially against heroes that can't follow you.
If teammates are losing health rapidly, use your healing orbs. With six available, they provide a substantial healing boost and improve the survival chances of affected allies.
The best part about playing Jeff is his ultimate, which can easily turn the tide of a fight if used correctly. You need to ensure that multiple enemy teams are near each other, allowing you to swallow them all, and then all you have to do is spit them off the map.
This requires knowledge of the map layout and the perfect timing to strike, so it's crucial to use it wisely
Weve found its better to throw yourself while swallowing the enemy team instead of spitting them out at the edge, as multiple heroes can simply resurface thanks to their abilities and kill you.
If you have Groot on your team, always stay on his shoulders. Youll benefit from damage reduction, and since Groot is a tank, he's usually taking a lot of hits. This allows you to heal him and any nearby allies easily and without worrying about flankers.
The last thing that you should keep in mind is that even while Jeff is diving underground or using your ultimate, youre not invincible. You can still take damage and die. It just makes your hitbox smaller, as only your dorsal fin is exposed.

Send confirmation emailJeff is of course a very competent healer, but his true value is in his ability to put out offensive off angle pressure. He's an excellent duelist and flanker. Because of this ability to angle and dive enemy backline, he's very good with tanks like Venom and Hulk or with Peni when she's set up on valuable high ground.
